4 H Shooting Sports in Cass County

Fall .22 & muzzleloader classes

The 2012 Fall Youth Shooting Sports program offered Cass County 4-H Outdoor Skills Shooting Sports program teaches youth how to safely be involved in a shooting activity. The 4-H Shooting Sports program helps youth understand and promote the safe, responsible and ethical use of firearms under the direction of certified shooting sports instructors. This program is offered by the Cass County 4-H Youth Development program of the NDSU Extension Service. 

 

A hands-on training series in the following shooting sport disciplines is being offered this fall: Rifle and Muzzle Loading. All classes will be held at the 4-H Practice Range near Durbin just southwest of Mapleton. The program is open to youth, ages 11 & older, who have their Hunter Safety Certificate.

 

The .22 Rifle Training three-week series teaches safe shooting, techniques and sportsmanship. The series will be held September 8, 15 and 22 from 9:30 – 11:30 am with advance registration needed by August 30, 2012. The cost is $20.

 

The Muzzle Loading three-week series teaches proper loading, firing techniques, the different parts of muzzle loading firearms, taking care of your gun, safety and range discipline will be covered during this training. The series will be held September 8, 15, & 22 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm with advance registration needed by September 1. The cost is $20.
